I've always been passionate about nature, energetics, and science. In school I struggled because of ADHD and had a hard time concentrating in my classes, but the subjects that always captured my interest were science and biology. Perhaps this comes from my background; I'm of Native American descent and to this day I remember walking in my grandfather's garden with him as a child while he pointed out all of the various kinds of flowers and told me about their natural remedies and properties. 

During my 6th year of running my brick and mortar shop the economy was struggling and thus, my small business in a tourist town was struggling, too. As an aesthetician who is passionate about using natural products, I started to get frustrated by the fact that I was buying and selling other people's expensive products that in the end, didn't even match my values because they weren't all natural and I couldn't even pronounce most of their ingredients.

I felt lost--I'd lost track of who I was, I'd lost track of my business, and I'd lost my passion for what I was doing. One night while eating dinner with my husband and expressing my frustration about where I had found myself, he suggested that if I was so fed up with the products that were available, I should just start making my own. Given that I had nothing to lose at this point, I agreed with him. 

Shortly thereafter, I connected with a Biologist who was starting a school geared towards people who wanted to make their own skincare products. She suggested that I become her student and because it felt meant-to-be, I took her up on the offer. The rest, as they say, is history! The floodgates opened from there.

Creating Artisan Skin Care products has been a dream come true and these little products and the science experiments behind them have helped me rediscover myself, my passion, and my cause. Each and every one of my products are created by hand with love and passion for nature, human beings, the earth, and the circle of life.

I am so grateful to all of my clients for coming on this journey with me and I look forward to continuing to spread the word about natural skin care products as I grow my line and share my love for science with the world.
