Are your products natural?
Yes, all of our products are completely natural. We will settle for nothing else.
Why do you always claim that your products are "Food Grade" or edible?
Because your skin is the largest organ in the body, it's important that you feed it the right "foods." We believe that you should be able to eat what you put on your skin! {But don't be mistaken, you probably don't want to eat our products. We're formulators, not chefs; they probably wouldn't taste very good!}
Why do you use glass containers?
Because glass is a natural, approved vessel for our pure product. It's the best choice for the environment and it's been known to be free of carcinogens.
Why are all of your ingredients sourced from Europe?
We prefer European products because we feel that the legal requirements for products made in Europe are the best fit for our standards of quality and organic ingredients.
What is the shelf life of your products?
About 2 years after opening the product. We believe that if your products have a super long shelf life, that's usually an indication that the preservatives used in the product are not very natural or eco-friendly. So please embrace the Artisan organic, natural lifestyle, indulge your skin, and use your products in a timely manner. ;)
I'm nervous about using oils on my face, will I break out?
No, probably not. There is a 99% chance that you will not break out. Our cleansing oil is combo of Oleic and Linoleic acid, which results in a more balanced complexion. As for our Calendula Oil, it was designed to heal, not clog your skin.
Are your products vegan?
All of our products are vegan except for our Soothing Rose Milk Exfoliate and Signature Soap. These products contain Goat's Milk.
Do you use nut oils in your product?
Yes. Our Calendula Healing Oil contains Sweet Almond Oil, which is very nourishing for all skin types.
Are your products made in the U.S.?
Yes, all of our products are made in our small production facility in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
In what order should I apply the skincare products?
Face:
Oil Cleanser (nightly): makeup and dirt remover
Soothing Rose Milk (twice per week): deep yet gentle exfoliation
Calendula Healing Oil (nightly): healing, nourishing moisturizer
Body:
Artisan Soap of your choice: cleansing aid
Calendula Healing Oil (nightly): healing nourishing moisturizer
What are your payment options?
We offer secure online ordering and accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
shipping + returns
How soon can I expect my order?
Please allow up to one week for your order to ship. We handcraft each item that we send out, and this includes creating, bottling, labeling, and shipping. Handcrafted items do take a little longer to produce than mass-produced items. Many of our items are made so they are at the peak of freshness when you receive them. Please let us know if you need an item by a certain date and we will always do our best to accommodate your needs.
For U.S. Orders: After your order ships, please allow an additional week or so for your order to arrive.
For International Orders: Please allow up to four weeks for your order to arrive after shipping. Usually it will arrive sooner, but custom's departments do have the right to hold items and there is not much we can do about this. Also, if Customs charges occur please note that you, the buyer, are 100% responsible for the fees. We, the seller, are not responsible for customs charges.
For Local Pick-Up Orders: If you select this shipping option at checkout, you will receive an email within 24 hours to set-up a time to pick-up your order in-person at our Orleans location.
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns. We will offer a replacement or a credit under certain circumstances. Please send us an email at artisanskincare@gmail.com with any concerns about your purchase so work through any of your concerns. Your satisfaction is our top priority and we will do what we can to ensure your happiness with every purchase.
Please note that Artisan Organics or Artisan Skin Care is not responsible for any additional shipping costs for returns + exchanges, and we do not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation of returned packages lost in transit without proof of delivery to Artisan Organics.
What if there is an issue with my order?
If you have any problems with your order, please contact us ASAP so that we can make it right. We truly want to please our customers and will always try our hardest to resolve any situations that come up! Please do keep in mind that the products you are buying are handmade and 100% natural so they tend to have variations from batch to batch (slight changes in color for example).
What if my item arrives damaged?
If you receive a damaged item, contact us immediately at artisanskincare@gmail.com. We will happily replace any damaged items provided they are reported within 48 hours of order delivery.
